Summary

SEND Teaching AssistantFull Time (8:30 – 3:30pm): BG 6 (£23,893 pro rata - £17,951 actual) Term time only (including inset days)Fixed Term (until 31st August 2025 or earlier - see below)Start date: 01/09/2024Do you have a passion for inclusive education and ensuring the best outcomes for all children? Or are you considering a career in teaching and are looking for more experience working with children? If so, we are looking for enthusiastic teaching assistants who enjoy working with children, have a passion for learning and will put the needs of our children first. You must have excellent interpersonal skills and be committed to making a difference to children’s lives. We are looking for flexible and confident team players who have experience of working with children with a range of needs in the classroom. The job involves primarily supporting a child with SEND 1:1, and sometimes in small groups or whole class setting. Intimate care would be part of this role. You will be working in partnership with the class teacher, the SENDCo and external agencies. You will have: • Experience of working with children in a Primary setting. • Experience of working 1:1 with children with SEND or a willingness to learn. • A commitment to an inclusive education that inspires, motivates and supports our pupils. • A good understanding of how to modify and adapt the school day to meet the needs of individual children. • An ability to be flexible, positive and good humoured; proactively seeking creative ways of meeting the child’s needs. • Take every opportunity to develop pupils’ language, reading, numeracy and social skills. • Have excellent communication skills, and confidence with promoting positive behaviours. • High levels of maths and English.
