Summary
CATERING MANAGER – St Omer Barracks JRD, Aldershot
The expectations of today’s service personnel are distinct from those of previous generations. Only by understanding the individuals across the whole force can we design services to serve them effectively.
Sodexo delivers a wide range of Catering and Food services to meet the unique and varied needs of the whole force. Our facilities Management expertise keeps our sites running smoothly, while our Property Services ensure that client infrastructure and equipment is well cared for.
We are now seeking an organised and conscientious Catering Manager to oversee the operational running of all functions in the Super Diner which serves as a social hub and dining facility for all service members at St Omer Barracks JRD.
This is a large operation that prepares and serves up to 1000 covers per sitting per day from a pre-set rolling menu 365 days per year.
With proven experience in catering, hotel or hospitality management and a Level 2 NVQ qualification in catering, you will put people and customer service at the heart of everything you do. The Diner is more than an eatery for our forces it’s home.
Leading from the front, you will have direct management responsibility overseeing two head chefs, one chef supervisor and front of house supervisors and will also be expected to undertake:
Though this role will be Monday to Friday there is an expectation to be flexible to cover both early and late shifts occasionally.

- Stock Control
- Audits
- Staff training
