Educate are working with a range of schools in the Flintshire area who are looking for someone to work as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, this could be supporting the class teacher and also working with small groups on your own.

Responsibilities of a Higher Level Teaching Assistant:
• Ensure that students are engaged, motivated and on task.
• Manage any behaviour issues that may arise.
• Follow school policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress.
Requirements of a Higher Level Teaching Assistant:
• A relevant undergraduate degree such as a BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies or a Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification.
• GCSE or equivalent passes in maths and English.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to manage behaviour effectively
• A positive attitude and a willingness to collaborate
• Flexibility and adaptability
Registrations required to be a Higher Level Teaching Assistant:
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, but if you do not have one, you can apply for a new one through Educate.
• You must register with the EWC (Education Workforce Council) to work in Wales.
