Summary

Are you a passionate and talented Teacher of Music looking for your next opportunity in an 'Outstanding' 16-19 college in Tower Hamlets? Step Teachers are working alongside a college in Tower Hamlets who are seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Music with a passion for music and a desire to instil that passion in the college’s students.

The role is full-time and permanent commencing in September 2024.

Position: Teacher of Music (Performance Specialism)

Location: Tower Hamlets, London

Type of Institution: 16 to 19 College

Type: Full-time 5 days a week

As well as teaching music performance, you’ll also contribute to teaching other areas of the music curriculum. As a music performance teacher, you will work with talented young people in a dynamic, industry-focussed curriculum that is regularly supported by leaders from across the music industry. The team is talented, hard-working, young people-centric and fully focused on developing the pedagogy that unlocks the potential of our Trainees.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A genuine passion for education and a commitment to helping students achieve their best.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with young learners.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching music at secondary or FE level.
