Summary

We have an exciting opportunity in our Planning and Economic Development team to be at the forefront of innovation and good customer service. This dynamic and varied role is responsible for managing the administration and technical support functions across the Planning team function at the Council.

As the lead on service delivery transformation, you will also be finding innovative and effective new ways of working including practice improvements and digital innovations.

Supported by a team of motivated officers, your team will focus on the validation of all planning applications, appeals and performance returns. You will be responsible for financial payments and reconciliations relating to the departmental budget and manage and maintain all technical IT systems used by the service.

In order to be successful, you must be hardworking, well-organised and efficient, with a penchant for recognising and resolving issues. You must be able to work rapidly and accurately at all times, adjust quickly to conflicting demands and priorities, and have the ability to communicate effectively on all levels

The post is offered on a full time, permanent basis (36 hours per week).
