Summary

Job Overview
-The role will require you to accurately survey various retail, office and commercial premises as instructed by the head of lighting projects. The survey detail will then be used to assist in the submission of lighting tenders. Attention to detail and accurate surveying of lighting types, wattages, ceiling types and any other required information is vital for this role. You will need to be proficient in excel with strong IT skills, customer facing and be able organize your workload so as to be efficient and achive deadlines.



Main Duties

-
-Study lighting drawings and plans

-Use provided survey tools to record information

-Mark light fitting and ceiling furniture locations on drawings

-Provide detailed survey information as instructed in the required format

-Technical ability and understanding of lighting and electrical services

-Inspect completed works for quality and accuracy of design

-To maintain the security and confidential status of all information so designated; to conduct all activities in a professional manner and ensure that procedures are followed and adhered to



-To attend as required: general staff meetings, internal hand over meetings, external Client tender review meetings.

-Reporting to the Head of lighting projects

What we are looking for
-

· Knowledge of lighting control (wired and wireless) an advantage although not essential

· Good knowledge of lighting product types

· Proficient in Microsoft excel and office

· Able to manage own workload

· Clean driving licence

· Flexible working hours

· Good communication and presentation skills

· Adapt to technical changes within the industry and attend training courses should they be required.

· Collaborative working within a highly motivated Team.

· Develop and grow with the business.

· The job holder may be required to undertake such other duties as may reasonably be required of him/her in the post and department mentioned above, or in a comparable post in the Company









Health and Safety responsibilities



· Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times;

· Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;

· Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;

· Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system
