The Role:

As a Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in empowering students with SEN to unlock their full potential. Collaborating closely with teachers, SENCOs, and fellow support staff, you will cultivate a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing personalised one-to-one support to students with SEN, tailoring activities to suit their unique needs.
- Assisting in the planning and execution of differentiated lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Implementing effective behavior management strategies to bolster students' social and emotional growth.
- Engaging in collaborative assessment of student progress and contributing to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Fostering independence and self-assurance among students, nurturing a positive learning ethos.

Requirements:

We are seeking candidates with:
- Prior experience working with children or young individuals with SEN, which is highly advantageous.
- A compassionate and patient demeanor in supporting students with varying learning requirements.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling the establishment of positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A proactive mindset and eagerness to contribute to the broader school community.
- While relevant qualifications in education or SEN support are beneficial, they are not mandatory.

All applicants must possess the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. All quoted pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. While this position is temporary, there may be an opportunity for permanency in the future.
