Summary
Position: Head of Maths
Location: SE25
Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
Daily Rate: Paid to scale
Your Role
- Lead and Manage: Oversee the Maths department, steering curriculum development and implementation.
- Inspire and Teach: Deliver high-quality lessons to students aged 14-19 with SEMH needs, ADHD, and other behavioral challenges.
- Innovate Lessons: Craft engaging lessons tailored to diverse learning needs.
- Monitor Progress: Assess student performance, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Collaborate: Work with colleagues to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
What We Need
- Qualified Teacher Status: Essential for this role.
- Experience: Extensive background in teaching Maths, ideally in a similar SEN setting.
- Leadership Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage the department effectively.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to meet students' varying needs and tackle challenges head-on.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
- Empathy and Passion: A genuine desire to support the educational and emotional development of young people.
