Secondary SEN Teacher

Protocol Education are working alongside a Wiltshire based SEN school to appoint a full-time or part-time enthusiastic and talented teacher to join a supportive team of professionals who are committed to raising standards and using innovative ways to enhance the learning experience of their pupils.

The School

A co-educational special school for children with a wide range of special educational needs. Children and young people join the school with a wide range of different needs and bring a wonderful mix of interests and personalities. The school aim to provide an inclusive and supportive learning environment which allows everyone to achieve their best, with high self-esteem, and with mutual respect for others in the community. Staff want their pupils to take their place in society with confidence and pride.

The school is staffed by a highly creative and dedicated team of teachers, teaching assistants and therapists who are skilled in ensuring the curriculum is relevant, exciting, and innovative.

The Role

You will be responsible for pupils aged within the secondary age phase with complex learning difficulties and autism. The class follows an Upper Semi/Formal curriculum, incorporating learning, therapy and health needs and is supported by an experienced team of Teaching Assistants. The successful applicant will also be expected to be a key member of a curriculum team.
