We are proud to partner with several Primary Schools in Derby, seeking skilled Primary Teaching Assistants with a focus on supporting children with special educational needs such as ASD, ADHD, behavioral challenges, and developmental delays. We're on the lookout for candidates who shine both independently and as team players, demonstrating a thorough grasp of diverse educational needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personalised one-on-one and small group instruction in Literacy, Numeracy, and Phonics interventions.
- Foster engagement and facilitate interaction among SEN students during lessons and curriculum activities.
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers to provide valuable feedback on student progress.
- Opportunity to contribute to Planning, Preparation, and Assessment (PPA) duties across the school.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Possession of relevant teaching assistant qualifications.
- Prior experience in a school environment is advantageous.
- Solid understanding of special educational needs.
- Flexible and proactive approach to work.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Desirable to hold a Level 4 TA qualification, although experience as a TA is highly valued.
