The role will involve case management, running nurse-led clinics and a telephone helpline and liaising with community colleagues. You must be an Independent Nurse Prescriber.

The Lead Nurse will be involved in clinical audit and guideline development. You will lead in the development of robust governance, writing and updating local nursing policies and procedures and evaluating their implementation.

You will manage a small team of specialist nurses, with responsibility for annual appraisals and development plans. You will act as a role model, championing change and improvement in Rheumatology care.

• Work across professional, organisational and system boundaries and proactively develop partnerships
• Maintain strong professional relationships with counterparts within the Rheumatology service, consultant team and Directorate Management team.
