Summary
Cooking a wide range of traditional Indian dishes using their existing speciality knowledge in this area. Also testing ingredients and flavours and buying necessary items to expand the menu options for customers.
Monitoring food stock level, researching and negotiating with food suppliers and placing of orders as required for food preparation.
Preparing and cooking dishes in the kitchen area in accordance with food safety policies and procedures.
The Chef will be responsible for supervising junior kitchen staff as required.
When required, must be prepared to train junior colleagues in the process of food preparation and presentation tasks.
The Chef will be required to place orders for raw and cooked food for next week purchase. Candidate must have 3 years work experience. 37.5 hours weekly work and 28 days annual leave.
