Summary

Murray Recruitment is currently seeking a Project Design Engineer to join our esteemed specialist engineering client based in Glasgow.
This role will provide crucial support to the Design Manager and Project Manager. Your primary responsibility will involve creating and refining BIM Revit drawings for both internal teams and external clients. Proficiency in Revit is essential as we exclusively rely on this software.
We welcome applications from Graduates with Revit experience looking to kick-start their careers, as well as experienced Project Design Engineers seeking an exciting opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with the Design Manager to produce precise Revit drawings.
Create layout designs for school/college workshops under project leads' guidance.
Modify existing drawings as required.
Incorporate accurate dimension details into drawings.
Integrate electrical and mechanical services specifications into drawings.
Develop Revit families for technical equipment from suppliers' files.
Assist in preparing technical submissions and compile supporting datasheets.
Integrate machine loadings and other pertinent details into Revit models.
Ensure precision and uniformity with the product/parts spreadsheet.
Experience and Skills:
Proficiency in initiating projects from scratch using Revit.
Competent in incorporating ventilation components and ductwork within Revit.
Skilled in crafting custom Revit families.
Capable of modelling technical equipment sourced from suppliers.
Familiarity with utilising parameters for flexibility in updating and modifying families.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis.
Offering:
Salary: £DOE
Location: Glasgow with occasional site survey attendances; potential for hybrid office/home working post-probation.
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 08:00-16:30, Friday: 08:00-15:45
Holidays: 20 days plus 8 public statutory holidays.
