Summary


The Treatment Room Service in Lancashire and South Cumbria Pennine are based in Blackburn and Darwen. The service sees patients who are mobile and able to travel to a Health Centre for treatment.

Treatment includes all aspects of wound care, leg ulcer management, ear irrigation, routine catheterisations, Phlebotomy, ECG’s, 24 hour blood pressure monitoring and non-serious injuries. Previous experience in wound care and leg ulcer management would be desirable: however, support will be given to develop in all treatment room competencies.

The service currently runs Monday to Friday 08:30-18:00. Candidates will be expected to cover any base and sometimes this can be short notice. Candidates must be a car driver with access to a vehicle for work purposes and during working hours.







The post holder will work as a member of the treatment room nursing team and provide assistance to treatment room staff across Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust under the direction and supervision of the treatment room leaders. They will provide a high standard of care to patients as appropriate to treatment room and the services provided therein.
