Summary

As a Health & Safety Coordinator, you will be expected to support the provision of outstanding undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research, and knowledge transfer. Provision of school wide safety knowledge primarily focused on laboratories and workshops. Deliver tailored training for staff and students in areas such as Risk Assessment and CoSHH management and work collaboratively with colleagues across Health & Safety to ensure compliance with university policies.

Working closely with Faculty specialist safety coordinators, you will coordinate, influence and drive safety initiatives within the school’s specialist fields. Sit on various safety committees. Responsibility for approval of all safety documents and risk assessments for laboratories and workshops.

It is essential that you have:

• NEBOSH National General Certificate and have (or be willing to work towards a NEBOSH Diploma)
• Outdoor First Aid and/or First Aid at Work Certificates
• Familiarity with safety practices of laboratories and workshops

This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week on a permanent basis.
