Summary

Your new company
Hays Education are working with a 'GOOD' primary school in the Wigan area to recruit a lower KS1 primary teacher to take on a Year 1 class teaching job from September 2024. Here you will be joining a friendly and supportive team at a primary school based in a great location within Wigan. This post will be a year-long contract and will see you working 5 days a week. This is a school that is proud of its achievements and is looking for a passionate teacher to come in and continue pushing the children to exceed expectations.

Your new role
This job role will see you take on full teaching responsibilities for this Year 1 class, so you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons to meet the needs and the interests of your pupils. You will need to work closely with other staff members, including teaching assistants, to ensure all children have access to the learning materials. You will be expected to immerse yourself in up-and-coming community extracurricular events and strengthen existing community relationships.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must have recent experience working with children. Subject leadership is desired, but not essential for this role. Applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). ECT's and NQT's are also welcome to apply.
