The Berkshire Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Service is looking for a motivated and a dedicated Senior support workerwith a minimum of one-year experience of working with people with mental health problems to join the team to promote the care and well-being of birthing mothers across the entire Berkshire communities.

We will in-turn ensure that you receive the require training, supervision and also complete the 'Fundamental Care Certificate' programme to equip you, if you haven't already done so.

• You will work directly under the Perintal Duty Clinical lead to support with administration activities, handle telephone calls, and manage inflow of patients to the perinatal Service.
• You will be liaising with patients, partner agencies and members of the perinatal team.
• You will support with answering the perinatal duty line, moderation of ShaRON Moon ensuring that clients care are manage appropriately.
• You will ensure that all enquiries that come into the perinatal inbox are handled efficiently and effectively to ensure clients and partner agencies receive a good service.
• You will assist the Duty clinical lead to manage duty caseload by contacting clients for wellbeing checks and ensuring that concerns are escalated accordingly.
• You will be part of the Perinatal Service Multidisciplinary team (MDT) to deliver care to client across Berkshire.
• You will support the nursing staff, care coordination the therapy team and the entire MDT in the assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating effective, evidence-based care, ensuring the care is holistic and meet highest standards of care.
• You will be expected to undertake wellbeing assessments and discuss in multidisciplinary forum to enable formulation of treatment and care plans.

The “must haves” for this role:
• A strong desire to work in Perinatal Mental Health.
• Good administration skill, ability to use range of IT programmes, telephone principles, and organisational abilities to support with the inflow of patients to the perinatal Service.
• A very good understanding and experience of safeguarding and liaison within the care pathways, systems, charities, and local support network.
• Team working skills and ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and patients.
