Summary

NIGHT SHIFT - Concierge and Security

This amazing 5-star complex who are looking for an experienced Concierge/Security professional to join their night shift team.

To ensure that the security of our development is maintained to the highest possible levels at all times of the day & night, ensuring that the safety of all residents and visitors is maintained.

Reporting to the Duty Manager (Day/Night) and working with all staff on shift to ensure that the services provided to all residents and staff are in accordance to the company mission statement and company handbook.

HOURS:

Generally, the shifts worked will be 20.00pm to 08.00am (Night shift). 12-hour shift, approx. 17 per month.

There will be a half an hour mid-shift break with two 15 min breaks in between this as directed by the Duty Manager on shift and will vary according to business requirements.

Shifts cover a 7 day per week revolving Rota, with no guaranteed days off.

Overview: Concierge & Security

  • Overall security of the estate by regular patrols of all internal and external areas, including car parks.
  • Occasional monitoring of CCTV cameras and taking the appropriate action as required.
  • Logbook completed regularly.
  • Liaising with cleaning supervisor regarding cleaning requirements on any part of the estate
  • Correct reporting of any security / health and safety issues as well as near misses.
  • Correct reporting of any incidents or complaints, following company procedures.
  • Safekeeping of keys on behalf of residents and the estate keys
  • Recording at all times the signing in and out of keys.
  • Issuing of keys only in accordance with the correct personnel / residents/contractors
  • Correct reporting of any maintenance or cleaning problems within the estate.
  • Maintaining a safe environment for all people within the estate at all times.
  • Reporting of any accidents and recording in the accident book.
  • Turn on and off lights within unoccupied areas at the appropriate times.
  • Carry out regular Health & Safety building checks as directed by duty management (to include regular checks of water tank rooms, plant rooms and other unoccupied areas).
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times concerning the residents and business.
  • To maintain a clean and tidy appearance of the security office at all times.
  • Prevent trespassers and travelers from entering building assets at all times.

Concierge Duties

To provide concierge duties as below within the estate as required:

  • To provide a warm welcome to all residents to the estate and ensure that they receive the highest levels of customer service at all times.
  • To answer the telephone following company SOP standards at all times.
  • To be smartly dressed at all times on duty following the company dress standards strictly.
  • Liaising with cleaning staff regarding rubbish removal and general cleaning standards during their operating times. (Outside of these times to deal with any cleaning matters directly to ensure the estate is presented to the highest standards of cleanliness at all times.
  • Monitoring the CCTV cameras and taking any appropriate action as required. Entering any incidents within the daily log book.
  • Monitoring the fire panel and BMS alarms and taking the appropriate action as required.
  • All reception type duties involving all aspects of meeting and greeting, administration, use of the telephone, computers, walkie-talkie, internal intercom system, lift alarms to the correct operating standards.
  • Dealing with any cleaning requirements, taking urgent action as appropriate.
  • Essential cleaning duties in the absence of cleaning staff on duty.
  • Signing in / out all cleaning staff, using the relevant time sheet and ensuring that they use the staff entrance at all times. Name badges must be worn on the estate at all times.
  • Correct reporting of any security / health and safety issues.
  • Correct reporting of any incidents or complaints.

Essential for this role:

  • SIA License
  • 1st Aid
  • Concierge experience of at least 2 years from either 4/5 start hotel groups, or luxury apartment residential complex within London.
  • Customer service - 1 year
