We have an exciting opportunity for Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioners to join within Emergency General Surgery, based within our Surgical Same Day Emergency Care unit at Cambridge University Hospitals.

We are looking to appoint trainees who will be supported to undergo their ACP Masters pathway whilst developing clinical skills within the surgical Unit to qualify as an ACP.

Trainees will join the dynamic and innovative multidisciplinary team and will work closely with the existing qualified ACP.

The post holder will be practicing under supervision as a trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner (tACP) within Emergency General Surgery which includes Emergency General Surgery take and post take ward rounds on the Surgical Assessment Unit. They will be expected to provide patient-centered quality care and to adhere to the trust values. This will encompass the skills of assessment, examination, diagnosis and treatment within an agreed scope of practice throughout Emergency General Surgery. The post holder, will under supervision, assist in the safe referral and discharge of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed presentations in designated areas of Emergency General Surgery.
