Summary


The Department of Urology at University College Hospital is looking to recruit a highly motivated and dedicated Clinical Fellow for a fixed term of 12 months from October 2024 in the Andrology department. The successful candidate will be joining the largest and most prestigious Urological Department in the UK. We are a highly specialist department seeing referrals from across the UK and abroad as well as being a centre for excellence and research.

The successful candidate will work in the Andrology team. You will have the opportunity to gain experience in providing pioneering new treatments and play a key role in ensuring excellent care for patients under the care of the department.

The consultants and their specialties are:

Mr H Alnajjar – General andrology & penile cancer
Mr A Christopher – Phalloplasty, reconstruction and general andrology
Mr D Lee – Phalloplasty, reconstruction and general andrology
Miss C Li – General andrology & reconstruction
Mr A Muneer – General andrology & penile cancer
Professor D Ralph – General andrology and reconstruction
Miss P Sangster – General andrology & infertility

The unit consists of seven consultants, six clinical fellows and three nurse specialists.



The clinical fellows rotate to increase their experience, gaining good access to both first time and revision implants, Nesbitt and grafting for Peyronie’s disease, surgical sperm retrieval, microsurgery, surgical treatment for penile cancer lymphadenectomy and phalloplasty procedures.

Research is encouraged.

The post holder will provide a safe and effective service for patients under the supervision of the Consultant Urologist. They will undertake theatre lists, clinics and other clinical activities. The post holder will lead on the management of inpatients and undertake on-call for the department as required.
