Summary
Here at Principal Resourcing we have a wonderful opportunity for a SEN Support Assistant to join our talent pool in Harrogate, providing long-term support for a diverse range of SEN pupils within one of our alternative provision schools. The position will initially be on a temporary basis, with the potential of a permanent role for the right candidate.
The Alternative Provision School is part of the Wellspring Multi-Academy Trust, focused on improving the life chances of pupils and communities. It boasts a bespoke curriculum centred around the unique needs of SEN and SEMH pupils within it's care, enabling adapted learning and resource provision to enhance skills, build confidence and promote positive regard. Staff are specially trained to support the diverse needs of pupils, delivering a range of interventions and learning opportunities.
You will work collaboratively as part of a friendly staff team, to promote consistency in learning, high achievement, positive wellbeing and be committed to providing an inclusive and supportive atmosphere for all SEN pupils within your care.
We welcome applications from experienced practitioners and offer competitive rates of pay up to £100, depending on your experience and the role requirements.
Your role as SEN Support:
- Support the Teacher to engage SEN students in learning & build confidence.
- Adapt to the diverse needs of SEN students within your care.
- Maintain strong classroom management & promote high standards for learning.
- Support SEN students to positively progress, through suitable intervention.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a positive and child-centred staff team.
We are seeking Practitioners with:
- A full and relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Confidence, inclusivity, and passion for supporting pupil progression.
- Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with the UK Curriculum.
- An enhanced DBS disclosure or be willing to obtain one through us.
- Right to Work in the UK, unfortunately we are unable to offer Visa Sponsorship.
