Summary


Are you a Speech and Language Therapist with an interest in developing our future work force come and work for us! We are recruiting both domestically and internationally for Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapists with an interest in practice development to work as part of the Acute team covering all non-stroke inpatient areas including ITU. This post will be based at Maidstone andTunbridge Wells Hospitals and will be a Cross Site rolein the heart of Kent. The post is part clinical and part supporting and developing our students and junior staff. We will provide you with training and pastoral support to adapt to life in the UK and offer an outstanding learning and development package with a broad range of development opportunities. Excellent communication skills and experience in dysphagia, tracheostomy, complex communication disorders and videofluoroscopy are desirable. Speech and Language Therapy currently sits within the Core Clinical Directorate, within the Therapies Division and is co-located with Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Dietetics on both sites, making easy work of joint working.

You will need to have excellent communication skills, a professional approach to both clinical and administrative duties, be autonomous in dysphagia assessment and management, be well organised and demonstrate a flexible approach in your working. We run a FEES and videofluoroscopy service and experience in instrumental assessments would be desirable but is not essential as training can be provided.
