Further Information
A personal assistant is required to support a young man in the HU4 area of the City. The PA will be required to support the young man to develop independence and social skills. He enjoys activities such as football and going to the gym. He supports Watford FC and is very active in regards to playing football. He trains most nights for various teams, so an interest in football would be a definite advantage. Long term his mother would like the PA to support him to attend a local group or club to allow him to have the opportunity to be with his peers. The young man will also require support preparing drinks and snacks. Knowledge of epilepsy care would be useful and awareness of issues around nut allergies, but training can be provided. Having a warm friendly disposition is a key requirement.
The applicants must be flexible in their approach to work, willing to follow the directions of the young man’s mother and like a job that can be demanding but varied.
Some weekend work may be required, and PA’s must be flexible and able to stay later in an emergency.
A car driver would be preferred, but this is not essential.
