Summary

About the role

The Operational Directorate is primarily responsible for delivering the IMA’s monitoring function by

• Gathering timely, relevant and credible data and information from a wide range of sources.
• Adopting analytical techniques in order to identify potential systemic issues.
• Using insights gained to inform key decision makers across the IMA.

The team is also responsible for reviewing data and information about the delivery by the UK government and public authorities of the above commitments to citizens’ rights, including residency; social security; reciprocal healthcare; mutual recognition of professional qualifications and other economic rights.

The Operational Delivery Manager will work in a team responsible for carrying out analyses and investigations to identify potential breaches of citizens’ rights and informing decisions on potential actions the IMA may take.

The post holders will maintain effective partnerships and relationships and influence others where there may be divergent and conflicting views.

Key Responsibilities

• Assessing complaints and other data and information to determine whether it is indicative of a breach of citizens’ rights, and making recommendations on whether the IMA should consider an inquiry;
• Identifying and assessing key data and information relevant to operational delivery work such as published reports and guidance;
• Engaging with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including public authorities, complainants, NGOs and lobby groups;
• Gathering, analysing and providing evidence to identify systemic issues and make recommendations in support of decision making;
• Drafting reports and recommendations on assessments made;
• Potential line management responsibilities
