Summary
The Deputy CIO is a pivotal role in delivering the Trusts Digital Programme. This requires an in-depth knowledge of emerging technology, drawing on developments across the technical spectrum not only those in healthcare, and supporting the cross-fertilisation of ideas in design solutions. The post holder is the Trusts primary advisor in navigating the external Digital solution landscape and playing a key role in securing, where possible, external funding and ensuring systems are delivered to optimise patient care. The role extends beyond the Trust to encompass the wider health economy across a patient / client base ensuring optimal Technical design of Information Architecture, Solutions Design and Systems Integration to allow secure information sharing and direct access via a patient portal. The post holder is responsible for identifying Digital, often innovative, solutions that will improve patient services and work with senior operational and business colleagues in bringing these solutions to successful implementation. The role leads for the Trust in achieving target levels on external digital assessments including Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) digital maturity criteria and the Digital Maturity Assessment (DMA) to support the Trusts aspirations to achieve excellence in digital services.
