Summary


The L&C Company is a leading luxury interior design company based in Cobham, Surrey. Our studio is a lovely working environment, where the company founders Lucy and Claire have created and continue to nurture a culture which is inspiring and supportive and in which their team flourishes.
We are looking for an efficient and creative Interior Architect Design Assistant to work for us on a full-time basis. We are obsessed with delivering excellence for our clients, helping them realise their particular vision for their home and ensuring the whole experience is a pleasure, so the ideal candidate will need to be completely customer focused while working within a team to develop design concepts, presentations and technical drawings.

Design Assistant/Junior Designer interested in Interior Architectural Design and with AutoCAD skills and degree in Interior Architecture

• Full time position 8:30am – 5pm and flexible when needed
• Working from the company studio in Cobham full time
• UK driving licence and with a vehicle – candidates must be reasonably local and happy with the commute to ensure they can be punctual and attend on site meetings when required.
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Degree in Interior Architecture
• Experience and basic design knowledge
• Interpersonal skills – good proactive communication with professional and clear manner
• Good at listening and taking a detailed brief from other interior designers
• Customer-focused mindset with the ability to work in an agile way in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to reflect The L&C way and culture
• Good creative and design skills – good eye and passion for Interior Design
• Computer Aided Design skills (CAD) and fluent in Microsoft
• Assist and support drawing packages produced from AutoCAD
• Produce high quality and accurate presentation sheets and schedules
• Organised and good scheduling skills
• Ability to prioritise and organise work to make the most efficient use of time
• Capable of assisting multiple projects
• Good administrative skills to support interior designers
• Running errands as and when needed
• Answering and making phone calls
• Obtaining costs/materials that may involve calling/visiting suppliers
• Responsible for day-to-day studio maintenance i.e., morning and evening routines
• Taking photos for social media
• Making minutes in meetings
• Manage follow-ups internally and externally
• Supplier knowledge is ideal
