Summary

Golf Course Marshal who has a good knowledge of and interest in Golf, with excellent customer service and communication skills is required for a well-established private members multi-sports and social club based in London SW15.


SALARY: £12.50 per hour + Benefits (see below)

LOCATION: South West London (SW15) - Candidates MUST live within 45 minute commute to South West London SW15

JOB TYPE: Part-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 2-3 days per week Monday to Sunday, 7.30am – 4.00pm or 10.00am – 6.30pm


JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Golf Course Marshal who has a good knowledge of and interest in Golf, with excellent customer service and communication skills.

Working as a Golf Course Marshal you will ensure the Club rules are adhered to by all members, guests and visitors who use the Golf facilities.

As Golf Course Marshal you will facilitate tee starting times under the guidance of the Club Professional, whilst offering a welcoming meet and greet service to all players.

DUTIES

Your duties and responsibilities as Golf Course Marshal will include:

• Ensure members & guests adhere to the Club dress code

• Check that membership passes and guest tickets are clearly displayed and correct

• Monitor starting on the 1st and 10th tees, ensuring that games start on the correct tee, and to monitor pace of play and etiquette

• Report any H&S or Club Rules related incidents

• Keep the 1st tee area, trolley sheds and 7th hole halfway hut, clean, tidy and stocked with necessary supplies

• Keep the single-seater ride-on buggies clean & charged, and the marshal’s buggy clean & fuelled

• Wear the correct uniform and/or protective clothing provided by the Club at all times whilst on duty

• Provide first aid to any golfer on the course when called upon, contacting the Pro Shop for assistance if necessary

• Follow the checklists and other operational standards and guidelines in the Marshal’s Handbook


CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Must have a sound knowledge of golf

• An understanding of the World Handicap System

• Must be computer literate, with confidence in using online systems

• Must have good customer service, organisational and administrative skills

• A good appreciation of sport and games in general

• First Aid trained – or willingness to undertake training
