Summary
TR01: £41,847.20 Per Annum - Consists of £32,368 pa Basic salary and £9,479.20 pa Compulsory Contractual Overtime
An additional allowance of £1,942.08 pa will be applied upon joining the Call Out Rota at 6 Months Service. Additional Call Out Payments will also be applied
Corporate Services Group / Estates / Maintenance Services
Open Ended Contract - Permanent: Full Time - 42.5 hours per week (35 hours per week plus 7.5 hours contractual overtime)
The Opportunity:
Maintenance Services currently employ a mix of 85+ trades, semi skilled and trade apprentice staff within its department who are responsible for the service and repair of over 500 buildings within the University of Edinburgh estate.
We now require a Senior Heating Engineers to join one of our multi-disciplined trade’s teams. You will be joining a team that provides exceptional customer services to an expanding world class estate.
You will have completed an appropriate apprenticeship in either Heating & Ventilation or Building Services and have gained considerable commercial and domestic maintenance experience. It is essential that you meet the criteria within the job description,
A driving licence is essential as there will be a requirement to drive University vehicles.
The Maintenance Services Team also operates an emergency call out rota which you will join on reaching 6 months service. You be expected to take part in 6 weeks out of the year.
Your skills and attributes for success:
Significant experience working within complex building services and estates
Recognised Craft Apprenticeship in either Heating & Ventilation or Building Services.
Excellent communication skills
Experience of using smart phone technology
Clean UK driver’s licence
