Summary
We are looking for an Apprentice EYFS Educator to support the Class Teacher and qualified EYFS team in our Preschool. If you are passionate about working in early years or looking for an apprenticeship to develop your skills in working with children, then working at Cheddar First Preschool could be a new and exciting opportunity.
What will the apprentice be doing?
Candidates will need to demonstrate:
- A confident, caring and friendly attitude
- Excellent communication skills, competently liaising with parents and other
professionals
- Flexibility, teamwork, and supportive of other practitioners in the setting
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, secure and nurturing environment
- Good working knowledge of the EYFS
- Commitment to promoting the ethos and values of the school and getting the best
outcomes for all children
- Supporting the children in their day-to-day routines
- Planning and providing the children with learning and play activities to extend
their development
- Observing the children and contributing towards observations and learning
journeys
- Keeping the children safe at all times
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner
- Early Years Practitioner Qualification
- Functional Skills in English and maths if required
- End Point Assessment - Knowledge Test and Professional
