Summary
Mobile Fabric Engineer – FM Service Provider - Commercial Buildings – Berkshire – up to £35,650 per annum
Exciting opportunity to work for an established FM service provider on a mobile basis covering Reading, Guildford & Slough. You will be responsible for the fabric maintenance on a bank and retail contract in the Berkshire area. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of most general fabric trades such as basic carpentry, plumbing and painting. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £35,650, overtime and further training.
Package & Working hours
- Up to £35,650
- Monday to Friday 08:00 am – 17:00 pm
- Callout 1 in 8/9
- 25 days holiday + Bank holidays
- Further training

Key duties & Responsibilities
- Painting & Decorating
- Basic lighting
- Fixing Furniture
- Hanging Pictures & Shelves
- Maintain and update Log books
- Assist the maintenance team on site
- Escort sub-contractors
- To undertake basic “Fabric duties” which would include touching up paintwork, tightening hinges, install/repair blinds, changing locks , making minor repairs to cabinets, desks, and putting together small equipment like chairs etc.
Requirements
- Must have some trade certificates (Plumbing, Carpentry, etc)
- Knowledge of commercial building maintenance
- An understanding of most building fabric duties
- Good communication skills
- Health & Safety experience
- Basic PC literacy, (Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, smartphone use)
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service
- Self-motivation with the ability to manage tight time constraints and prioritise workload
