About the role
As a Recruit A Driver HGV Driver for our client, you will expect:
To drive vehicles with curtain-sided trailers
To oversee the safe unloading of vehicles at customer premises
To check the load security & weight distribution according to the latest safe working practices at the beginning and end of each shift.
To ensure that the delivery vehicles are always maintained to Company standards, of reporting of any defects to the vehicle.
Ensures vehicles are in safe condition, with daily checks correctly completed before use, & are operated safely.
What you need to know:
Working times: 07:00 am to 5:00 pm (although start/finish times can vary), plus overtime when necessary.
Shift pattern: Monday – Friday.
Work Load: General haulage delivery, 6 – 10 drops distance dependant.
What you must have:
Must hold a valid Class 2 UK license for a minimum of 12 months.
Must have experience driving a Class 2 vehicle within the last six months, ideally 12 months.
Must have no more than 6 points on license for minor offences.
Must hold an in-date Digital Tachograph Card.
Must have an up-to-date CPC Qualification Card.
