About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Compliance Officer with a strong focus towards Data Protection, Resilience and Business Continuity processes to ensure Activate Learning achieves and maintains a high standard of general compliance, including our data protection responsibilities and policies and procedures and adherence to statutory compliance across the group.
In the role you will work within the Administration and Compliance Team to primarily support the Data Protection, Resilience and Statutory Compliance functions as well as meeting submission requirements as laid down by various regulatory bodies. The role will support a variety of meetings by drafting agendas and reports, processing Subject Access Requests, Freedom of Information requests, and monitoring CCTV use.
This is a permanent, full-time role and travel will be required to all our campus locations across Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Surrey, so the base campus can be discussed at interview.
What do you need to be successful as a Compliance Officer at Activate Learning?
Successful candidates must have experience of the Data Protection Act (DPA 2018) and an understanding of its role within education. You will have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate well and influence colleagues at different levels within the business. You should be organised, resilient and accurate, with a desire to learn and grow within the team, whilst working proactively.
Ideally candidates will also have experience in areas such as policy development, compliance auditing, delivering training, H&S or Security procedures and risk management. A formal accreditation in a relevant field, i.e. Level 3 H&S, Security or IT qualification would be highly desirable.
