Summary
LOCATION - London Gatwick Airport - Airline Security
Working in partnership with world class airlines)
POSITION - Security Agent (Permanent Full Time Contract)
HOURS OF WORK - As per operational and client requirement
RATE OF PAY - £12.12 per hour (flat rate).
CLOSING DATE - Ongoing
KEY TASK AREAS / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform a range of security-based tasks including, but not restricted to, body searches, baggage searches, aircraft searches, aircraft guarding, access control, document checking, passenger interviewing, XRAY Screening, ETD screening..
- Operational needs may extend to locations out of LGW as and when required (upon agreement)
- Use of security industry approved systems, such as XRAYs, ETD machines, and hand-held tablets
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- 5-year checkable work history vetted (within UK)
- Successful clearance of Criminal Record Check and Counter Terrorist Check
- Full colour vision
- Ability to work shift patterns (up to 12 hours), over weekends and bank holidays
- Ability to perform physical tasks like searching, standing for extended periods, walking long distances, using stairs, wearing PPE (including safety shoes)
- Good command of English, both spoken and written
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and to prioritise tasks
- Flexibility and availability according to operational needs
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Self-motivated but also able to work well in a team
- Punctual, professional, with attention to detail
