Summary

Position Overview: As a Consultancy Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing a range of construction projects across the North East region, from inception to completion. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction project management and excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage multiple construction projects simultaneously, overseeing all aspects of project delivery, including planning, design, procurement, and construction.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their project requirements and objectives, and ensure that these are met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and resource plans, monitoring progress and performance against agreed targets.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with design teams, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to ensure that work is being carried out to the required standards and specifications.
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies and contingency plans as necessary.
  • Provide regular progress reports to clients and stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, milestones, and areas for concern.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices on all construction sites.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, acting as the main point of contact for project-related queries and issues.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in construction project management, within a consultancy environment.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and materials.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and MS Office applications.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g. PMP, Prince2) are desirable.
