Established in 1943, our network of Learning Locations provides day and residential courses for all ages, from young children to retired adults, from schools and communities throughout the UK, reaching many others through our publications and community-based programmes.

What you’ll be doing

As our casual minibus driver, you will be driving our students and other course participants to and from outdoor learning locations in the local area. We have a 17 seat Ford Transit, and a 9 seat Ford Tourneo, and on occasions also hire additional minibuses, so you will need to be confident to drive a range of vehicles.

It will be your responsibility to take the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of your passengers. This will include making sure all passengers are present, seated and wearing their seatbelts before commencing a journey.

Where you’ll be based

Just 30 minutes from Taunton, Field Studies Council Nettlecombe Court is situated in a secluded valley at the eastern edge of Exmoor National Park. The house is a striking example of a Tudor and Georgian country mansion set within its own grounds.

The centre can accommodate approximately 120 people. This is spread across two single bedrooms, three twin rooms and 18 dormitory rooms which vary in size from 4-12 beds.

Who we’re looking for

You will have a full valid driving license with a D1 minibus entitlement. In addition to:
