Summary

A vacancy has arisen for a Band 7 Triage/Delivery Suite Coordinator, this is a challenging but rewarding role, working as part of the multi disciplinary team. Our delivery Suite has 13 rooms and 2 theatres and our teams provide care for approximately 4500 pregnant people and their families each year. We have excellent facilities including a birthing pool, scan facilities and all rooms are en-suite. Our Triage has implemented the BSOTs system for assessment, we are looking for dynamic leadership in this area.

Are you an experienced Triage/Delivery Suite coordinator looking for an exciting opportunity or a senior Band 6 Midwife looking for career development? Then you may be the person we are looking for.

The perfect applicant will be dedicated to optimising experiences for families and maintaining a safe, caring and supportive environment. They need to have an interest in training and development, we have Prompt training each month and weekly skills drills, there is an expectation that the coordinators actively take part in these. We have a proactive preceptorship programme supporting newly qualified Midwives and we are extremely proud of the results of this programme, this is partly due to the support and guidance provided to these new Midwives by the coordinators on Triage/Delivery Suite.

If you are dynamic and passionate about high quality care, thrive on hard work, embrace change and enjoy developing others then you might be just the person we are looking for.

Please note:
• this is a full time post but hours may be negotiated for the successful applicant.
• the job description is currently under review and may be subject to some amendments and AFC evaluation

Our maternity services are committed to providing high quality care for approximately 4500 pregnant people and families each year. This is an exciting yet challenging time for the maternity services in Shropshire, as we embrace a period of improvement and development. We will continue to work in partnership with our women, the Local Maternity System (LMS) and our CCG’s to develop our future model of care.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to be involved with these new developments at the outset. This is your chance to be part of a transforming organisation.
