Summary

Job Title: Finance Assistant   Contract: Full-time, 37 hours per week, Permanent, Term Time only, plus inset days and two additional weeks during the school holidays. Salary: Grade C (£26,108 to £28,856) - Actual Starting Salary £23,502 per annum, subject to annual incremental progression and pay awards. Entitlement to Local Government career average salary pension scheme. Start: September 2024 What we are looking: Tewkesbury Academy in Gloucester are currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join their talented and supportive team. Line management and Strategic and specialist Finance support is from the Central team Finance Manager, supported by a large team of other Finance Assistants performing this same role in other schools as well as staff in the wider central finance team. Under the daily direction at school of the Senior Operations manager this role will sit alongside the wider admin team at the school providing all back-office support for the smooth and efficient running of the school. This team is recognised as essential support to staff, pupils and parents and the operational running of the school. This role offers great variety day to day while feeling part of the whole school team and culture of continuous improvement for the school. A background in a finance role would be an advantage such as experience of processing orders and invoices, handling petty cash, dealing with suppliers and customers, however all training on systems and processes will be given. To be successful in the post, we are looking for someone who will ensure all procedures are carried out accurately and in accordance with CLF and Academy policies and requirements, Department for Education (DfE) guidance and appropriate legislation.  They will act as first point of contact for general finance queries from Academy staff, students, parents/carers and the CLF central team. The postholder will also be expected to provide general administrative and clerical support to the Academy as directed by senior staff.  About the Cabot Learning Federation:   The Cabot Learning Federation is a diverse Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) in the South West.
