We are looking to appoint two Grade 3 Teaching Assistants to join our school.
We are a happy, vibrant, diverse and welcoming city-centre Church in Wales school, enjoying excellent relationships with children, parents, carers and our wider, multicultural, multifaith community.
Applicants should be friendly, be able to work as part of a team, be able to establish genuine relationships with children and their families, have experience of supporting children’s learning through play, be comfortable following children’s interests and most importantly enjoy working with children, including those with Additional Learning Needs. Good standards of numeracy, literacy, and IT skills are needed as well as an understanding of child development.
This role will include supporting children with Additional Learning Needs.
Applicants should also be committed to supporting and stimulating children to learn through play both inside and outside. Applicants should be able to communicate effectively and sensitively with parents and other professionals.
Applicants should be sensitive to, and supportive of, the Christian ethos of the school.
These posts are subject to Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Checks.
Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
This salary is subject to the Living Wage supplement which brings pay rates up to £12 per hour (scp 2 - 4). This supplement will be reviewed in January 2024 and thereafter annually in April. Cardiff Council reserves the right to make any changes to, or removal of, the Living Wage supplement.
