Summary
Teaching AssistantFull Time (8:30 – 3:30pm): BG 6 (£23,893 pro rata - £17,951 actual) Term time only (including inset days)Maternity Cover – Fixed Term (until 1st June 2025 or earlier return of the current post holder)Start date: 1/9/24Do you have a passion for inclusive education and ensuring the best outcomes for all children? Or are you considering a career in teaching and are looking for more experience working with children? If so, we are looking for enthusiastic teaching assistants who enjoy working with children, have a passion for learning and will put the needs of our children first. You must have excellent interpersonal skills and be committed to making a difference to children’s lives.
We are looking for flexible and confident team players who have experience of working with children with a range of needs in the classroom. The job involves supporting children 1:1, in small groups or whole class setting, and working in partnership with the class teacher, the SENDCo and external agencies.
You will have:
• Experience of working with children in a Primary setting.
• A commitment to an inclusive education that inspires, motivates and supports our pupils.
• A good understanding of how to modify and adapt the school day to meet the needs of individual children.
• An ability to be flexible, positive and good humoured; proactively seeking creative ways of meeting the child’s needs.
• Take every opportunity to develop pupils’ language, reading, numeracy and social skills.
• Have excellent communication skills, and confidence with promoting positive behaviours.
• High levels of maths and English.
