We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate English teacher to join us in providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons to students with diverse learning needs and abilities, including those who may have been excluded from mainstream education.
• Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet the individual needs and interests of students, fostering a love for English language and literature.
• Develop and implement personalized learning plans for students, in collaboration with support staff and external agencies, to ensure their academic and personal success.
• Provide ongoing assessment and feedback to students to monitor progress and identify areas for development, supporting them to achieve their full potential.
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and carers, and work collaboratively with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning community.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching English at secondary level, preferably in a PRU or alternative provision setting.
• Excellent knowledge of the English curriculum, with the ability to plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons that meet the diverse needs of students.
• Strong behavior management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students who may have experienced trauma or adversity.
• Empathy, patience, and resilience to support students through challenges and setbacks, and celebrate their successes and achievements.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic development of students.
