Summary


The Oxford Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism(OCDEM) has an exciting opportunity for an senior nursing assistant to join the team. The role will consist of working alongside and supporting members of the Diabetes, Lipid, Endocrine and Podiatry Teams, helping to care for patients attending the services within OCDEM. The role will be interesting/educational and rewarding.

OCDEM is open Monday to Friday and core hours for this role are 8-6pm, Mon to Friday, split over a 37.5hrs week. Flexible working will be considered.

We are looking for candidates who have experience checking vital signs and phlebotomy skills.



Assisting Nursing staff

Supporting patients

Phlebotomy

Performing ECG

Performing Visual Fields

Performing/documenting clinical measurements and recording on EPR

Main responsibilities are to support the teams working within OCDEM

To support patients emotionally and clinically through their individual clinical pathway.
