Location: Greater Barcelona Metropolitan Area

Salary: €44,000.00 (£37,848.00) per annum pro rata

Working Hours: Part-time, Monday to Friday, 12:00-16:00

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Part Time Upper Elementary String Orchestra Teacher to join an esteemed educational institution in the greater Barcelona metropolitan area. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of young musicians in an international school environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction in string orchestra education to elementary 4th and 5th grade students.
• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with state curriculum and foster student engagement.
• Teach students how to play musical violin, viola, and cello, catering to absolute beginners.
• Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Plan, rehearse, and conduct orchestra performances for school events.
• Maintain instruments and string accessories.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in music.
• Teaching licensure with proper endorsements.
• Minimum of 3 years orchestra teaching experience preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of orchestra curriculum, music theory, and performance.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with diverse teaching methodologies.
