Summary
***37 Hours a Week***
-Flexible (home, office, site). The candidate could expect to be working on various sites all across the county, typically 50% of the time on site and 50% desk based.
Experience
-Good practical experience of Highway Resurfacing and Maintenance projects
-Experience of working within a team delivering service on time and to budget.
-Experience in dealing with Operational workforce
-Experience of job costing methods, financial planning and budget management.
Knowledge
-An understanding of Health & Safety legislation and CDM Regulations
-An appreciation of the current construction legislation, law and best practice
-Knowledge of the range of civil engineering procedures from feasibility to construction
-An appreciation of Environmental Legislation
-Knowledge of Chapter 8 TM
Registrations, Qualifications & Training
-HND or similar in engineering related discipline
Personal Qualities
-Be a team player keen to be involved, and involve others, in developing projects
-Able to prioritise workloads
-Attention to detail and methodical approach to work
-Be self motivated
-Able to work with minimal supervision
-Good analytical skills
-Ability to deal with the public and defuse potentially difficult situations.

-Able to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels
-Good IT skills
-Good inter-personal skills
Other Requirements
-Current driving licence
-To travel in line with organisational requirements
-Willingness to undertake work outside normal office hours on an occasional basis; including evening (until mid-night), night-time (after midnight) and weekend working
