Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer specializing in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our dynamic team. The Cloud Engineer will collaborate with internal and external clients to analyze business processes, assess client requirements, and define parameters for current software, hardware, and network infrastructure. This role will conduct feasibility studies for significant IT developments, present proposals to clients, and provide consultative support throughout the procurement, provisioning, delivery, and maintenance of IT systems. The Cloud Engineer will research, evaluate, and monitor network infrastructure, formulate functional specifications for new systems, and collaborate closely with clients to ensure successful implementation. Additionally, the Cloud Engineer will be responsible for developing, deploying, and overseeing the GCP infrastructure, optimizing network architecture, and formulating security architectures aligned with industry best practices and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal and external clients to analyze business processes and define IT requirements.
- Conduct feasibility studies for IT developments, present proposals, and provide consultative support.
- Articulate implications of emerging technologies and provide guidance on integration.
- Research, evaluate, and monitor network infrastructure performance.
- Formulate functional specifications and test plans for new systems.
- Facilitate successful implementation of new systems in collaboration with clients.
- Develop, deploy, and oversee Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure.
- Optimize network architecture for resource segmentation and isolation.
- Formulate and execute security architectures tailored for GCP environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security controls into development processes.
- Configure and manage security monitoring tools for prompt incident detection and response.
- Investigate and resolve security events in collaboration with incident response teams.
- Implement robust encryption mechanisms for data protection within the GCP environment.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Demonstrated expertise as a Cloud Engineer, with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Profound understanding of GCP services, security functionalities, and methodologies.
- Preferred certifications: Google Cloud Professional Security Engineer, CISSP, or similar.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Additional Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and methodologies.
- Knowledge of cloud-native security tools and services.
