Summary

Endoscopy is a safe, compassionate service. We are person centred, committed to provide excellent, specialist care, alleviating fear and providing support for diagnosis.

Join our ever-growing Endoscopy team and be a part of the excellent service we provide.

As a department we believe in each individual and ensure everyone has the right tools and opportunities in order to develop their careers.

Well-being is at the heart of everything we do for our patients and also for each other. You will be working in a positive culture alongside Mental health First Aiders.

As an Endoscopy Nurse, you will be responsible for the everyday running of the service. This will include the patient pathway from admission to discharge, assisting the Consultant during the procedures, preparing the room and equipment for the procedures, assessments, audits, supporting junior staff and assisting the senior nurses, link roles, etc.

Our endoscopy unit is supporting and working with the Bowel Cancer Screening program, Paediatric team, Respiratory team, Capsule endoscopy, PEGs and Gastropexies, Cancer services and Gastroenterology.

We are one of the largest hospital trusts in England, with five
hospitals and community clinics serving a local population of around 800,000 people. Our vision is 'great healthcare from great people'. Everything we do is guided by our values: 'People feel cared for, safe, respected and confident that we are making a difference’. We have a new way of working at East Kent Hospitals, called 'We care'. It's about empowering frontline staff to lead improvements day-to-day. We're looking for compassionate people to be part of our improvement journey for the patients, families and carers we care for every day.
