Your new company
Hays are working in partnership with a Primary School in Preston, who are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a full-time basis. The school are looking for either a newly qualified or experienced Teaching Assistant to join their teams. This is a full-time role to start immediately, and if successful, will be extended until the end of the academic year.
Your new role
As a teaching assistant, you will be in year 4, and will be responsible for providing support and assistance to the pupils, as well as supporting the class teacher. There is always the potential to move round different year groups depending on the schools' needs, so you will need to be flexible and adapt your skills to meet the needs of the children. This is particularly important when working with SEN children, as they work based on their ability rather than age. By being a teaching assistant, you should possess good behaviour management skills and hit the ground running by building up those relationships with pupils as well as staff. What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, recent experience working with children within the last 2 years would be beneficial, for example, in an educational setting or as a support worker. As the schools are recruiting immediately, it would be ideal if you could jump straight into the role, however, do not let this put you off applying, as we are always receiving new roles. SEN experience would also be desirable in this role, however it is not essential as it will depend on the school you are placed in.

In return, you will be paid a highly competitive daily rate of up to £13 per hour depending on experience, and will be working in this successful school where you will become an integral part of a welcoming team of TA's.
