Here at Walsall Health Care Trust, we have an exciting opportunity for individuals wishing to start a career and gain experience in Respiratory Physiology. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual to support the clinical service by performing basic lung function assessments.

Ideally we are looking for someone with experience in Respiratory Physiology and ATRP Practitioner Examination however we would happy to consider a training post starting at Band 3 with progression to Band 4 on successful completion of relevant examinations and experience.

Previous experience of working with the general public would be a distinct advantage. The ability to work well within a team is essential whilst also having the ability to prioritise your own workload. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility and commitment to teamwork are essential.

As an Associate Practitioners within the department your main role will be to support the clinical service by performing respiratory physiology procedures to a quality assured standard on a day-to-day basis in line with national and international guidance. These will include Spirometry, Static Lung Volumes, Transfer Factor and Reversibility studies. You will also support other non-clinical aspects of the service.

The post holder may be required to work over 2 site, Walsall Manor Hospital Pleck Road Walsall and Pelsall Village Centre, High Street, Pelsall.
