Summary
• The Role: To support a 9-year-old chatty boy to access the community with his mum and brother during the school holidays. He enjoys doing many things which include – soft play, outdoor and park activities, also likes animals and bouncing on the trampoline. He is confident and able in the swimming pool and there may be times that you will be required to get in the pool alongside as well. Minimal personal care is required. You will need to be confident and pro – active in distraction techniques. This is an employed position.
Main Duties:
• To access the community.
• Support mum with being out and about.
• Enjoy the outdoors.
• Confident and pro-active in distraction techniques and aware of surroundings.
Personal Qualities and Attributes required:
• Respectful of confidentiality and privacy
• Responsible and trustworthy
• Respectful of dignity and independence
• Good communication skills and social skills
• Punctual, reliable, and flexible
• Ability to work on your own initiative
• Understanding, adaptable and organised
Hours: 10 hours per week during school holidays
