Summary

Advanced SEMH Teaching Assistant required

Engage Education are looking for a driven, persevering and compassionate individual to join this exciting school that caters for children with SEMH needs aged 8 to 16.

Providing a lasting impact on the academic and personal growth of young people, you would be joining a learning environment that is dedicated to collaboration, support and nurture to ensure that every child receives the support they deserve. As an ATA, you will be responsible for supporting pupils with complex SEMH needs and challenging behaviours - ensuring they receive the best experience of education and reach their full potential. You will be working with a team of dedicated professionals to provide tailored and specific support for young people who have additional requirements in either academic or social development.

This is a full-time role to start in September 2024

- Paid up to £120 per day!
- Supporting SEN Teachers and other professional staff to deliver high quality and creative educational and personal development sessions
- 1-1 small group and individual sessions
- Creating interactive and academically enriched learning experience

Person Specification
- 1 year experience working to support people with SEMH or other complex SEN difficulties.
- 1 year experience within a classroom based setting (either SEN or mainstream)
- The ideal candidates will have lots of patience, be proactive and resilient- this role can be extremely challenging but also very rewarding.
- The ability to take note of, and acting on, all issues relating to the well being and safeguarding of children.
- Prescient behaviour management skills.
- Profound ambition to contribute towards positive change in a child's development.
- Willing to undertake training days.
