At MSV Housing we’re committed to making sure our customers have good quality safe homes. We are looking to recruit a Development Officer on a temporary basis to join our established team.



We are looking for an experienced professional with property / surveying or construction experience with project management skills. Reporting to a Development Manager our Development Officers assist with the delivery of new developments by project managing individual development schemes from inception to completion. Assisting in identifying and acquiring land and providing contract management and financial control support to our Development Managers.



The successful candidate will be required to travel across the northwest to fulfil the duties of the role therefore a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.





What will you be doing;

Manage a portfolio of development projects, including appointment of multi-agency project teams, attending site meetings, managing progress of schemes, handover and defect process.

Formulate bids for provision of additional homes, by development, purchase or other means.

Seek and appraise affordable housing schemes.

Prepare written and verbal reports for Innovation Panel and Board.

Attending meetings with external customers and supplies as required.

Manage project budgets, cash flow and forecasts to maintain accurate and up to date financial, general records and audit files in compliance with Homes England requirements.



What we are looking for;

A relevant qualification in Property / Surveying / Construction / Project Management.

Experience of residential development within a housing association or housing developer or other property organisation.

Experience of HCA funded projects and the IMS system.

Knowledge of the development process, construction technology contracts, risk appraisal and project management.

Experience of report writing and delivering presentations.

Full valid driving licence and willingness to travel across the northwest.
